Truck tire pressure detection scheme based on Infineon SP40T
TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitor System) Tire Pressure detection has been included in the standard equipment of cars (passenger cars) in many countries. New cars must be equipped with TPMS to meet the regulations before they can be sold. As for the medium and large commercial vehicles such as trucks, trucks have not been included in the specification, but in order to drive safety, reduce the injury caused by overloading tire burst, and the company or brand image, there have been more and more car factories or teams began to import TPMS.
Infineon has launched SP40T for tire pressure testing of medium and large vehicles. The tire pressure range is from 100KPa to 1600KPa, which can meet most requirements. SP40T integrated chip in addition to tire pressure detection module, also contains acceleration, temperature, battery voltage detection module. Compared with the previous generation SP37, the chip reduces the volume by 50%, and the static current is lower to 250uA. It has the market advantages of high integration, small size and power saving.
